FROM FORMULA TO BOWTIES

Composites are one of the future materials and I always wanted to make something tangible. The first time I came across composite parts production was during my studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Brno University of Technology.

We were a great group of students called TU Brno Racing which designed from scratch and built a Formula Student monopost race car at global competition level every year. I took part in production of bodywork parts and structural monocoque chassis. Then I also designed, produced and tested hollow carbon fiber wheels as my diploma thesis work. It was here where I fell in love with performance composites.

THE FIRST STEPS

Beside the mechanical advantages important for a race car, each part also fascinated me because of its looks.  Then I once got an idea to make a carbon fiber bowtie. That was in 2017 and this project grows ever since. My friends started to praise it with words like this bowtie suits me perfectly.

And the number of people who were asking if they could get one too was growing. Sure, why not. And that was the beginning. There is someone noticing it at every event. I personally walk this field of composites for quite some time now. But I can't stop wondering that a bowtie which you can simply attach to your neck contains almost 100 kilometers of carbon fiber.

CONSTANTLY FORWARD

When looking at any construction around I can't stop my ideas how to improve things. I imagine how much more effective they can get, how they can be much more pleasent to use and how they can look. My work is helping companies with composite parts production. In the same matters I am trying to pass on interesting facts from this field and that is something you can expect when following CARBONBOWTIES on its pages.

Maybe you'll get inspired for your dream project. I make my own parts like skateboards, race car and motorcycle parts in my spare time. You can see some of my work on carbonride.cz

I believe that just as wearing wooden bowtie means love for nature, our carbon fiber bowties will find their way to innovation enthusiasts with desire to show their attitude towards technologies. You can't take your carbon bicycle, hockey stick, tennis racket, kayak, motorcycle or race car to social events. But you can take our bowtie.
